Ford of Clatt is situated to the south of Huntly and north of Alford in Aberdeenshire, close to the Correen Hills
Directions to Ford of Clatt
From Aberdeen 38.6 miles :
Take A96 to Inverness.
By pass Inverurie.
1.93 miles after Pitcaple take left hand fork to Insch on B9002.
After Oyne in Gadie Burn take left for Auchleven/Clatt on B992.
After Leslie a T Junction. Ford on your right on the corner.
Park in courtyard.
Entrance through little wrought iron gate on driveway and via the garden.
From Huntly 9.9 miles :
At Asda roundabout take A97 to Rhynie.
After 5.32 miles take left for Insch/Kennethmont on B9002.
In Kennethmont take right turn to Clatt.
Travel through Clatt. After half a mile turning left to Auchleven.
Ford on the corner. Turn into courtyard and park.
Entrance through little wrought iron gate on driveway and via the garden.
From Aberdeen via Alford 33.1 miles :
From Aberdeen take A944 to Alford.
1 mile after Alford (7.7 miles) take right turn at crossroads to Strathdon and Huntly. After bridge fork right to Montgarrie.
After village turn left for Clatt and Kennethmont.
Climb the Suie Hill (not advisable in snow), enjoy the magnificent view and having descended, and past the trees, find Ford on the corner of junction on right to Auchleven. Turn into courtyard and park.
Entrance is through little wrought iron gate on driveway and via the garden.
We are 5 miles from Insch Railway station and guests can be collected on arrival if pre-arranged. There is a local bus service to the garden gate once a day!
