Bed and Breakfast

Welcome tray awaiting visitors. Twin bed room

Ford of Clatt is a unique place that offers delightful accommodation in an undiscovered area of Scotland. Surrounded by traditional farmland, with walks from the garden gate, it has an old fashioned quality that is rare today. The night skies are dazzling and the silence is complete, (between tractors.!!)

The atmosphere is informal and friendly with a full Scottish breakfast by the Aga in the farmhouse kitchen, or a continental version, in your own room. Our food is all organic and local where possible and we grow our own vegetables on a raised bed system. Environmental products only are used for cleaning and laundry so you can be assured that your stay will be non-exploitive to the area. Lucy is a Natural Nutritionist so special diets are no problem to us and nutritional advice is available on request.

Bathroom with roll-top bath. View into the bathroom

The bedroom is self-contained with a double or twin beds and crisp white cotton linen and views over the cottage garden and the Correen Hills. You will have an ensuite bathroom with a roll top bath where you can relax after a day of travel or exploration.

Television is available in the room, and telephone and internet access by arrangement. We hope to have Wifi access in due course.

Indulge in a Swedish massage before heading out to eat in one of the excellent local restaurants.

Besides being a wonderful base to visit castles, distilleries & stone circles, Ford is a perfect haven for an artist or writer`s inspirational holiday, a personal retreat or to follow a nutritional healing programme. The clarity of the light, peace of the area and nutritional advice available make Ford of Clatt unique.
